This is a story of every person caring for their parent at the end of life. The story follows the first encounter with the medical system. How things go wrong, so fast. How Hospice lost their way with palliative care. How medical professionals misuse prescription drugs, in particular opioid abuse. How systemic, societal problems pollute our healthcare system.


Yet, this is a surprisingly uplifting story. The story binds us to one another, past and present, family and friends, community and religion, with the maturing process of making peace with the passing of the generations.
